Klorofeel Foundation is incorporated as a Not-for-Profit Company, Under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. It is also registered under Sections 12AA and 80G of the Income Tax Act. Its mission is to improve the quality of school education of under-privileged children.
Since its inception in August 2016, it has pursued two objectives: realising ‘Grade-specific Competencies’ and making children ‘Self-directed Learners’ by the completion of Grade 5. Its strategy has been ‘Outside-School’ intervention in ‘Gram-Panchayat Saturation Approach’, through village level community based physical ‘Learning Centres’, managed by ‘Mothers’ Group’ and ‘Local Facilitators’, for ‘supplementing and complementing the efforts of Government Schools’.
While ‘Outside-School Intervention’ is the focus, wherever possible, the Foundation actively engages in ‘Inside-School Intervention’.
It has experience of working in tribal dominated Bissamcuttack block of Rayagada district, Kujang block of Jagatsinghpur district, Korei block of Jajpur district and Basudebpur block of Bhadrak district.
